Hundreds of carved pumpkins of all shapes and sizes will be on display in Tooting Common this Sunday.

Friends of Tooting Common is hosting its annual Pumpkin Parade, awarding prizes for the ‘funniest’, ‘scariest’, and ‘most artistic’ as well as homemade fancy dresses.

There will also be storytelling and a parade of lit pumpkins.

Peter Ramell, chair of FOTC, said: “The pumpkin parade is one of the highlights of the year for FOTC and each year is bigger and better.

“Children and adults of all ages are welcome to bring their carved pumpkin creations.”

The event begins at 3.30pm at the café in Tooting Common and entry per pumpkin is £2.

In addition, there will be a pumpkin party from 1pm to 3pm at Tooting Community Garden Centre in 5 North Drive, SW16 1RL.

The event will be on Sunday, 29 October.
