Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is encouraging you to ‘Wear Your Whiskers’ today (October 27).

It is asking for both individuals and groups to wear whiskers in order to fundraise for thousands of homeless dogs and cats.

The charity takes in the animals every year after they have lost their original homes.

You can draw your whiskers on and add a nose or a pair of pointy ears, and even get creative.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home asks you donate £2 – or £1 if you are at a school – to take part and help the charity provide the care it does for unwanted dogs and cats looking for new homes.

Jenny Crabtree, Battersea’s head of public fundraising, said: “Wear Your Whiskers is Battersea’s brand-new fundraising initiative and we want everyone to get involved.

“Whether you’re in the office, at school or home, it’s super easy to take part and help raise money for the thousands of animals who need Battersea's help each year.

“Whether you decide to make, draw or buy your whiskers – we want you to wear them with pride and share your support for Battersea on Friday, October 27.”
