Merton police were called today to evict travellers at a development site which is set to become the new ground for AFC Wimbledon.
Armed with legal paperwork, police gained entry to the barricaded car park at the former Wimbledon Dog track, on Plough Lane, and asked travellers to leave.
Police said occupiers complied with instructions apart from one, which prompted officers to seize a caravan.
All entrances are now blocked with the premises now secure.
