A young film maker from Wimbledon has scooped at top prize for her documentary about a slice of life in a deprived neighbourhood in The Philippines.
Louise Thicket won 3rd place in the Bill Vinten GTC University Awards with her documentary Manambong Road.
The awards, which recognise skill in camerawork, and are judged by a panel of professional camera operators and film makers. They were presented in a ceremony at the University of Portsmouth.
Louise, who is a student at Bournemouth University, receives paid work experience funded by the Television and Video Camera Craft Educational Trust as well as a trophy and a year’s membership.
