Sutton's Charlie Edwards has now won three fights in a row after falling short in his bid to become a world champion last year.
Edwards fought Craig Derbyshire on Friday, October 13, and won each of the eight rounds at York Hall in Bethnal Green.
The British super-flyweight champion did not defend his belt because of a late opponent change.
After the bout, Edwards said he would vacant the British title to chase his dream of becoming a world champion.
The 24-year-old called out current WBA world champion, Kal Yafai, once he defeated Derbyshire for the second time.
Yafai defends his belt on the Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev undercard at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on October 28.
A win for Yafai could set up a British clash between him and Edwards for the super-flyweight championship of the world.
Edwards now has a professional record of 11 wins and one loss.
