More than 500 families have expressed interest in the new Harris Academy school which is due to open next year.
Interested parents and carers have been invited to attend the Open Evening on Tuesday (October 3) at Merton Arts Space in Compton Rd.
The new academy, which will have 120 places from September 2018, will initially be placed in Whatley Avenue before moving to its new school in High Path in 2020.
Principal Designate of Harris Academy Wimbledon, Jo Larizadeh said: "There's huge interest in the new academy which is great. Building and developing a new school with the local community is a real privilege.
"Over 500 families have already registered an interest. We hope local parents looking at their options for secondary schools in September 2018 will come and see what we have to offer."
Harris Academy Wimbledon is part of the Harris Federation, a not-for-profit charity led and run by teachers .
