A signalling fault will see train delays between East Croydon and London Victoria until around 4pm today.
The signalling fault is affecting both London bound metro service lines at Thornton Heath.
Network Rail are currently on site and are working to repair the affected signal failures.
The faulty cable has been identified but Network Rail will need to source a replacement cable.
Passengers are advised that services via Thornton Heath are subject to delays, revised calling patterns and short notice cancellations, including a reduced service on the Gatwick Express line between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
