Three men have been arrested after leading an off-duty Met Police officer on a car chase near Coulsdon.

The men, aged 15, 16 and 23, were arrested in connection with the discovery of a large hunting knife in Caterham on Thursday (September 14).

Just before 9pm on Thursday, the car the trio were in was involved in a pursuit with another vehicle between Coulsdon and Caterham, with a number of shots fired en route.

The trio then ran off from the vehicle in Caterham but were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

They have been interviewed and released under investigation whilst enquiries remain ongoing.
