A Mitcham man has been spared jail after assaulting two police officers.

Georgie Raymond Rosison, 30, of Pershore Road was sentenced at Wimbledon Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, September 13 after pleading guilty to three offences on June 14.

Rosison spat in the faces of the two police officers and made threats to the manager of a Coral Bookmakers - where he stole £40 - on May 30.

Rosison was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.

He has been ordered to undergo treatment for drug use for 12 weeks.
