A pub in Tooting has reopened its doors after completing a refurbishment on both its floors.

The Wheatsheaf, in Upper Tooting Road, has redesigned its upstairs function room with a major makeover project which was done throughout August.

It now includes up to three rooms, which have now been divided, and can be hired for private functions, as individual spaces, or altogether.

The first room is a private dining room with a 30-person capacity, the second is a lounge room with a fireplace that can hold up to 40 people, and the third is a room with bar servery and concertina doors which open out to the private dining room.

Another feature at The Wheatsheaf is its “much missed” beer garden that has new furniture, colours and added painting.

There have also been some changes on the new menu, including a selection of Mediterranean-inspired small plates and main courses such as pappardelle with slow-cooked beef and Waveney Valley pork chop.

In addition, stone-baked pizzas, with a range of combinations for customers to choose from, are also available to eat-in or takeaway.
