After eight weeks of upgrade work, the Hersham Centre for the Community has reopened.
Fire safety concerns led to the building being closed in June for safety improvement work, but other refurbishment has also been done in the mean time.
This includes the café and toilets has being given a new lick of paint, a replacement boiler being fitted and other health and safety requirements being met following a detailed survey.
Residents were welcomed for a roast dinner and a glass of bubbly to celebrate the reopening.
Councillor Ruth Lyon, portfolio holder for Social Affairs, said: “We are delighted to show everyone the updated areas of the Centre. Our Centres for the Community play a significant role in meeting the needs of local people and we know residents will benefit from the changes made to the building.”
