A one-day celebration for Doctor Who fans and their companions is coming to the Playhouse in Epsom.

Who’s at the Playhouse on October 1 is bringing a veritable who’s Who, with fifteen former stars, writers, designers and producers giving interviews, autographs, photo sessions, props displays and more.

There will be two Doctors in the house: Peter Davison and Colin Baker – the fifth and sixth Doctor respectively.

Louise Jameson, who played Leela, the leather-clad companion to the fourth Doctor, will also be there.

The event coincides with the fortieth anniversary of K9’s first appearance on the show in 1977, and K9’s creator and scriptwriter Bob Baker, designer Tony Harding, producer of the upcoming film K9: TimeQuake Paul Tams and visual effects designer Mat Irvine will be there, along with the original K9 itself.

Voice of the iconic robotic dog, John Leeson, will be giving a talk entitled A Dog’s Life at 7.30pm, followed by a Q and A session.

Mr Leeson’s meandering career also included stints as a hospital porter, a (failed) encyclopaedia salesman, a radio and tv continuity voice, a Mastermind question-setter, a wine writer, a magistrate, a playwright and a political candidate.

Seven other actors who appeared in the show will also be there: Michael Keating, Prentis Hancock, Nigel Paskitt, Rosalind Lloyd, Paul Lavers, Eric Danot and Jemma Churchill.
