Baker Sophie Faldo did not quite raise the dough in this week's Great British Bake Off - but impressed judges enough to see herself through to the next challenge.

Sophie, from West Molesey, started baking six years ago once she left the army.

Speaking to Noel Fielding in last night's episode, the stunt woman and self taught baker revealed that she also does judo.

This week's episode was the infamous bread week, with bakers taking on challenges set by judge Paul Hollywood and the West Molesey star confessed she wasn't looking forward to the challenges.

Sophie's first bake was Tagine Tea Cakes which although smelled great according to Paul, needed more spice and was lacking flavour.

The technical challenge was slightly better for Sophie as she came in the middle of the pack. Her loaf was wet and under baked, but had good shape.

Sophie's showstopper was a bread basket but again the dough was underdone and, Paul wasn't particularly impressed.

Great British Bake Off will continue next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel four - and it's Bake Off first - Caramel Week.
