A new Nando’s restaurant is coming to Twickenham later this year, it has been confirmed.
Although its exact date and location has not been set, it will be the only branch in Twickenham with others in Teddington and Richmond close by.
One tweeter, who spotted the development, said it will be in King Street and replace Moidul’s Rawalpindi after a planning application was submitted to Richmond Council earlier this year.
A Facebook page was set up in 2015 to “persuade the powers-that-be how much Twickenham will benefit from a [Nando's] restaurant close by.”
Now their dreams have come true.
A spokesperson said: “We know that there are a lot of peri-peri fans in Twickenham and we have been looking to open a new site in the area for some time.
"The good news is that that a new Nando’s will be coming to Twickenham towards the end of the year.
“We can’t wait to start hosting people at the new restaurant soon.”
