A Croydon man has been sentenced to six months in prison after beating a woman.
Abdulahi Mahamud of Lansdowne Road, Croydon, was found guilty in July and sentenced at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Friday (August 11).
Mahamud initially pleaded not guilty but a court found that the "offence (was) so serious because (of the) repeated, sustained assault."
The 29-year-old was also said to have threatened the woman with a knife.
