If you’re fascinated by bats and would like to learn more about them, and potentially to spot some, then Beddington Park is where you need to go.

On Saturday August 19 a Sutton Borough Biodiversity Officer will conduct a guided bat walk around Beddington Park.

The walk commences at 8.00pm and is £5.50 to book which needs to be done by contacting biodiversity@sutton.go.uk

People are encouraged to meet at the car park end of Church Road where bat detectors will be handed out.

A statement read: “Bats are busy feeding up, trying to put on as much body weight as possible to enter hibernation when the weather turns cold at the end of summer. Join us for a short walk and talk about how bats live.”

10.30pm is the estimated time for the walk to conclude.
