Tram lines between New Addington and Lloyd Park will soon be suspended.

Track work in the Gravel Hill area will see the those particular lines close from the evening of August 25 and September 4.

For passengers travelling to Croydon, a replacement bus service will run between New Addington and East Croydon (Dingwall Road).

It will also stop at King Henry’s Drive, Fieldway, Addington Village, Gravel Hill, Coombe Lane and Lloyd Park tram stops.

Trams from Wimbledon will terminate at Lloyd Park, but "passengers for the Addington area are advised to change to the replacement bus at East Croydon."

Transport for London's director of London trams Rory O’Neill said: “We are sorry for the disruption this essential work may cause our customers and I’d like to thank them for their patience while it is carried out.

"Our engineers will be working hard to complete the work as quickly as possible.”

Passengers have been advised that they may also use buses 64, 433 and 466 between the Addington area and central Croydon. Valid tram tickets will be accepted on the replacement bus service and local buses.
