More than 3,000 people went to Kingston Fire Station’s open day last Friday, August 11.
Children were treated to appearances from Fireman Sam and Marshall from Paw Patrol, face painting, a colouring competition and a bouncy castle.
There were live demonstrations given by firefighters, as well as the chance for the public to meet the team.
Watch manager Tamer Ozdemir said: “The day was a huge success with over 3,000 people turning up. The support we received from the public was truly overwhelming.”
More than £2,000 was raised for The Firefighters Charity, which provides support for members of the UK fire community who are injured, ill or require psychological help.
Also at the event were Met Police horses and dogs, as well as CPR training for children by London Ambulance crews.
Mr Ozdemir said: “It was a real community event pulling everyone together from all services.”
