The Sunday market at Surrey Street is set to return.

Similarly to last year, the Sunday market will run from 10.30am to 5pm every week and its offerings are said to differ to those available Monday to Saturday in an effort to avoid competition.

The Sunday market will focus on street food, homemade and artisan products such as breads and cakes, vintage goods and arts and crafts. Pitches cost £15 and are inclusive of mains electricity supply and waste collection.

The return of Sunday market trading will take place on Sunday, September 17 from 11.30am.

Councillor Mark Watson said: “I’m delighted the Sunday market is returning to Surrey Street and look forward to joining the public in exploring the delights on offer.

“Re-launching the Sunday market gives small, independent traders the opportunity to capitalise on Surrey Street’s reputation and I hope new traders take up this offer to bring a wealth of varied products and produce for Croydon residents and visitors alike to buy and enjoy.”
