Moped-riding thugs assaulted a 14-year-old boy and stole his hover board while he played with his friend and dog.

The teenager was assaulted while he walked through Bourne Hall car park at about 9.30pm on Friday (July 28), Surrey Police stated.

The riders repeatedly struck him with the moped before the passenger dismounted and twice punched the boy in the face, the victim’s mother said in a Facebook plea.

The attacker then pulled out what the teenager believed was a weapon, she added.

The thugs then stole the victim’s hover board before riding away on the moped.

The moped rider is described as white, 18 or 19 years old, about six foot one inch tall, and of a large build. He was wearing dark clothing.

The passenger is described as about 15 or 16 years old and about five feet eight inches tall and wearing dark-coloured clothing.

The pair were riding a black Yamaha 125 with a learner plate but no registration plates, a Surrey Police spokeswoman added.

The hover board has a distinctive flame pattern and larger tyres than those found on the normal board, the mother added in the now-deleted Facebook status.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, a Surrey Police spokeswoman stated, and the force’s investigation continues.
