Let your kids go wild this summer as they dip into nature and discover all sorts of creatures at an international-award-winning attraction in Barnes.

The WWT London Wetland centre, on Queen Elizabeth walk, are inviting children of all ages to join Dusty Duck and become a wildlife ranger for the day.

A full day of discovery awaits families as the youngster can pick up log books, like a real ranger, to record their finding and day of wildlife experiences.

Scott Petrek, one of WWT’s real life wildlife rangers, said: “I love being a wildlife ranger for WWT and helping to care for and protect our amazing wetland animals.

“We thought families would welcome the chance to experience what it’s like to be a ranger through a series of fun-packed, mini adventures, including activities that I do as part of my day to day job.”

From pond dipping, ranger training and wildlife recordings to spotlight talks on popular wetland animals, the day out will give visitors a glimpse into one of the world’s largest wetland conservation.

“Hopefully, we’ll also inspire some of our younger visitors to become the wildlife rangers of the future, helping to create a world where healthy wetland nature thrives and enriches lives,” added the WWT ranger.

The 105-acre wetland centre is home to a wide range of wildlife species including birds, water voles, bats and amphibians, featuring six different wildlife hides, a Kingfisher Kitchen and Observatory.
