Merton's best GP surgeries have been rated and revealed.

The GP Patient Survey is an annual England-wide survey that gathers data on patients’ experiences of their GP surgeries.

8,027 questionnaires were sent out to ask patients to rate the 25 Merton surgeries with a 32 per cent response rate.

The data comprised of a range of sections, from waiting times at surgeries, to satisfaction of opening hours.

The most telling statistic of all however would have to be the number of patients who described their overall experience of this surgery as good.

While Merton's top ten all received scores in line with the national average (85 per cent) or more, the other 15 all received a score of 84 per cent or less.

Taking top honours for Merton was the Grand Drive Surgery with an overall score of 95 per cent.

While waiting times at surgeries is usually a pet peeve with patients, it seems that the Grand Drive has its system running fine.

With the national average for people who feel they don`t normally have to wait too long to be seen down at 58 per cent and the CCG average at an even lower 50 per cent, the Grand Drive's sits at a pretty 73 per cent approval rating.

While that number should stand out, it's not the top in Merton.

That honour goes to The Vineyard Hill Road Surgery with a score of 77 per cent.

By no shock, The Vineyard also ranks in the top 10 for 'good' scores in Merton.
