A teenager was rushed to hospital after a stabbing in the centre of Croydon shortly after school leaving time.

Police said a 16 year old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance crews after reports of a stabbing in St George's Walk at around 3.40pm yesterday (July 11).

A Met Police spokesman said: "His injuries are described as not life-threatening or life-changing.

“There have been no arrests at this stage.

“It was good news in the grand scheme of things that his injuries are not life changing but all stabbings are regrettable."
