Highlights from the Edinburgh Festival will be showcased in The Colour House Theatre in Merton this month.

Drama company Magical Quests will be making the theatre in Merton Abbey their home from July 24 to July 28.

Comedy, music and improvisational theatre will all be performed at the Summer Season event.

Shaken Not Stirred, a comedy film, will be played from July 24 to July 26.

Award-winning Burlesque performer Ginger Blush will be featured in Nell Gynn’s Laid Bare on July 29.

Chopping Chillies, a show about love, loss and soul-food, will have a night in the theatre on July 27.

Writer and performer John Hinton will be delivering his one man show, Ensonglopedia, on July 28.

Proceeds from the season will go to The Woolf Charitable Trust, a charity that supports vulnerable and sick children through drama and arts.

A statement from Magical Quests read: “The entire season is sponsored by a secret millionaire who hopes to rejuvenate Merton Abbey Mills and return it to its former glory.

“If the project is successful you will see a more vibrant and busy Merton Abbey. So get yourself a ticket, book a night out and help support your local community.”
