A man has been arrested following a "serious" crash between a van and a motorcycle.

Police are appealing for witnesses to provide any information that will help the investigation.

Officers were called to Burntwood Lane by the junction with Tilehurst Road at 7am this morning (July 10) to reports of a crash.

The motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."

Detectives from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
