Warrenders Jewellers celebrated its 70th anniversary in style with a champagne party held in the Royal Box at Epsom Downs Racecourse last Friday.

The store first opened in 1947 and the business has stayed in the family ever since.

Richard Warrender, who now runs the business with his brother, told the Sutton Guardian earlier this month: “My father was responsible for the business for 40 years and he was incredibly dedicated.

“We have always been proud of the quality of the jewellery and the way in which we look after customers. Our success is mainly down to that.”

A spokeswoman for the company told Sutton Guardian: “We're pleased to say the anniversary party was a great success. Over 60 guests attended to take part in a jewellery quiz and toast the firm's 70 years in business.”

The jewellers are running promotional deals throughout 2017 to commemorate the achievement.
