The South Norwood Community Festival (SNCF) free annual event in South Norwood has a myriad of events on this time around.

The SNCF kicked off yesterday and will run all week long, comprising daily events at venues around SE25, including live music, pub quizzes, theatre and comedy.

The culmination is ‘The Party in the Park’ on Sunday, July 2 at South Norwood Recreation Ground.

Festival goers can enjoy the kids zone, dance zone, medieval zone, arts and crafts stalls, food from around the world to satisfy even the most insatiable foodies and the beer tent which will be serving real ales, beer, wine, cider, Pimm's and a new addition this year – Mojitos.

The main stage will play host to bands from around the borough and artists of all genres throughout the day, including: Famous Last Words, MT Pockets, Statin' Quo, Ten Tonne Ska, and Rev.

The festival finale is offering unlimited use of the kids zone at £5 per child or £10 for three.

This year the charities being supported are Wheels for Wellbeing and St Christopher’s Hospice.
