“If you are partial to a bit of cannabis or cocaine in the Battersea area, you make find supplies a little thin on the ground lately.”

Officers from the Wandsworth Gangs Task Force, together with the British Transport Police Tasking Team, conducted the search at a home in Haydon Way.

A man and woman have been charged with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and possession of criminal property.

They have been remanded to attend court.

The force added on Facebook: "So if your local dealer has gone bust, maybe now’s the time to think about giving up the drugs for good. If not, don’t be surprised if you get a visit from one of our teams sometime soon. And we don’t tend to knock…"
