Large amounts of cocaine and cannabis believed to be worth around £70,000 have been seized during a drugs raid in Battersea.
Police say bags of cash were also found, including one containing “more than £50,000 on its own”.
On a Facebook post Wandsworth police warned: “Battersea suffers drug shortage.
“If you are partial to a bit of cannabis or cocaine in the Battersea area, you make find supplies a little thin on the ground lately.”
Officers from the Wandsworth Gangs Task Force, together with the British Transport Police Tasking Team, conducted the search at a home in Haydon Way.
A man and woman have been charged with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and possession of criminal property.
They have been remanded to attend court.
The force added on Facebook: "So if your local dealer has gone bust, maybe now’s the time to think about giving up the drugs for good. If not, don’t be surprised if you get a visit from one of our teams sometime soon. And we don’t tend to knock…"
