A bin lorry “barfed on” a car in Earlsfield.
The incident happened in Littleton Street on Thursday morning after a bin lorry “suffered a leak” and sprayed waste fluid out, which happened when the vehicle was compressing rubbish.

Martyn Kent, who owns the car, said: “My rubbish was collected but half a dozen cars at least were also sprayed with this disgusting crap.”
A spokesperson for Wandsworth Council said: “We’ve offered sincere apologies to this resident and asked him to get in touch with us so we can make sure the contractor pays for his car to be professionally cleaned.”
Waste and Recycling company Serco are trying to resolve the problem.
David Porter, Serco Operations Director, said: “Unfortunately one of our waste vehicles suffered a leak of waste fluid this morning while it was carrying out collections.
“We immediately withdrew the vehicle from service and the issue is being investigated. We’ve apologised to Mr Kent and will of course cover the costs of having his vehicle cleaned.
“We work hard to ensure our waste vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and technical faults are rare.
“If a vehicle experiences an issue we immediately withdraw it from service so that it can be investigated and repaired.”
Another resident, Simon Bedford, has had his car sprayed three times. Although he was reimbursed for the cleaning cost by the council, he is concerned the liquid waste is dangerous.
Mr Bedford said: “It’s appalling.
“There can be dog waste and baby’s nappies in there and it’s dripping on the street where children run around.”

“What about other residents who don't know what it is and think someone's just been sick on their car?”
The street is beginning to smell and Mr Bedford is calling on the council to send street cleaners over.
The council has asked residents to fill out this online form and it will “do something to put it right”.
