Residents are invited to shape the future of Tolworth at a series of drop-in events this month.

Kingston Council is asking what people think of the area and what opportunities they see for change.

The Tolworth Area Plan, being worked on by the council, the Greater London Authority and Transport for London, will go to full consultation later in the year, taking into account the suggestions and comments at these sessions.

Once adopted, the plan will set out a development strategy to improve the area’s appearance and facilities.

Cllr David Cunningham, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Regeneration at Kingston Council, said: “We are involving the community at an early stage as we want the future of Tolworth to be created collaboratively.

“We want to hear ideas for change and transformation from local people and combine this with the expertise of council officers, the GLA and TfL to create an exciting future for Tolworth.

“Tell us what you think. Be part of it, help shape the future of Tolworth and be proud of the result."

The drop-in events are as follows:

11am to 4pm, Tuesday June 13 at Tolworth Library

11am to 4pm, Friday June 16 at Tolworth Tower, 21st floor

9.30am to 1pm, Saturday June 17 at Goals, Tolworth
