CCTV signs have been put up in Richmond to monitor posters encouraging voters to elect Zac Goldsmith in Richmond.
The Tory hopeful lost out to Labour Sadiq Khan a bitterly fought London Mayoral Election last year and then, having resigned his seat as a Conservative MP over his party's backing of a third runway at Heathrow, lost in a by-election to Liberal Democrat Sarah Olney.
On June 8, he hopes to return to Parliament as a Conservative MP, having been reselected by the party despite his opposition to its approach to the airport.
A Conservative party spokesman said: "As unfortunately seems to happen in every election, some of our posters have been vandalised or torn down.
"We will be making sure to replace all those that are."
