A motorcyclist considers herself lucky to be alive after a horror crash left her with a broken pelvis and tailbone, and her leg sliced to the bone.

The crash in Tadworth on Tuesday night sent Ky Boot spinning in the air before hitting the ground with bone-breaking impact, she said.

She was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting after being hit by a VW Golf in Shelvers Hill at about 9pm.

Writing from her hospital bed, she posted on Facebook: “I am in unimaginable pain.

“The f****r just drove off and left me to die on the side of the road.

“I screamed and screamed and the f****r just drove away like he'd just hit a squirrel on the side of the road.”

Surrey Police had appealed for the driver to come forward after the crash. A man suspected of being the driver has now been arrested after receiving medical attention, the force stated.

Ky added: “Thank you to all the paramedics who held my hands as I drifted in and out of consciousness and the two police who stayed with me through all my scans and distracted me while I was being worked on.

“I just want to let everyone know I'm alive and lucky as hell to be.”

Surrey Police is still appealing for information to the crash.
