Wandsworth Council is flying its flag at half-mast today “as a mark of respect” for the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack.

A suicide bomber killed at least 22 people, including children, and wounded 59 at a pop concert by US singer Ariana Grande last night.

The council tweeted: “Union Flag at Wandsworth Town Hall flies at half-mast as mark of respect for those killed and injured in Manchester attack #StandTogether.”

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick condemned the attack as “appalling” while London Mayor Sadiq Khan said it was “barbaric and sickening”.

Both called on people to stand united against terror.
