A new ‘one day stop’ hospital is coming to the borough this autumn.

Croydon Day Hospital will offer two Laminar Flow Theatres, a dedicated endoscopy service, five consulting rooms, a treatment room and state of the art diagnostic and imaging facilities.

The hospital owned by the private Ramsay Healthcare group, will be located at the Interchange building in West Croydon.

It will admit patients who are paying for treatment through health insurance, those who are paying for treatment themselves or people who are being funded by a third party.

HR Business Partner at Ramsay Health Care UK, Bec Howe said: “The hospital will offer a comprehensive range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and General Surgery and being a purpose built day case hospital patients will be able to have their procedures and return to the comfort of their home on the same day.

”The hospital will be located in the Interchange building which is conveniently situated less than 100 metres away from West Croydon Rail Station, Croydon Bus Interchange and the main tram interchange. The hospital will also have over 40 free car parking spaces for patients.”

The hospital is scheduled to open August/September 2017.
