Twickenham will be transformed into the “ultimate match day” of food and sport as the World Rugby Seven Series finale weekend rolls into town.

On the field champion rugby players will battle it out over two days at the home of rugby union while, off it, gourmet street-food stalls will ensure the term “feast of sport” will have never been more appropriate.

Nic Fletcher, head of marketing at England Rugby, said: "After the victory of 'Feast of Rugby' in 2016, HSBC London Sevens 2017 aims to offer even more for our loyal rugby fans while encouraging new audiences to join in the spirit of the series.

“The tournament bonds diverse international crowds and, with the varied offerings at this season's climax, we are striving to offer something for everyone to enjoy."

This season, fans can celebrate the food and culture of the competing nations and dance along to live music.

Additions include in-bowl pop-up dining and a kids' club, while organisers have said the premium event experience offers entertainment and delight for all age groups.

Acclaimed frontline chef Neil Rankin has been announced as the face of the feast for the final leg of the 2016/17 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Kick off is on May 20.

Due to the high demand for tickets last series, and the success of the new finale event, the number of seats available has been expanded from 15,000 per day to 50,000.

To capture the spirit of the event artist Steve Simpson created detailed illustrations to sum up the “lively atmosphere and variety of entertainment on offer".

The London round of the 2017 tournament is the final event of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

The season featured five new destinations added to the series. Those were Cape Town, Sydney, Vancouver, Singapore and Paris.
