Commuters face delays this morning due to a signalling fault in the Streatham area.

Network Rail has requested Southern and Thameslink to amend some southbound services from London Bridge to Norwood Junction, Sutton, Wimbledon and Croydon.

Southern passengers are warned they may face delays of up to 15 minutes with disruption expected until 10.30am.

Services from London Bridge towards West Croydon via Peckham Rye and Selhurst will run non-stop between Tulse Hill and West Croydon. Northbound services on this line are generally unaffected.

London buses will accept Southern Rail tickets on reasonable routes between London Bridge and Croydon, a Southern spokesperson advised.

Thameslink services which operate Southbound via Wimbledon to Sutton and Northbound from Sutton via Mitcham Junction will be cancelled.

London Underground will accept valid Thameslink tickets between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars, and Tramlink will accept valid Thameslink tickets on routes between Croydon, Mitcham Junction and Wimbledon, a Network Rail spokesperson advised.

Southern introduced a new Delay Repay scheme on December 11, which offers passengers compensation for journeys delayed over 15 minutes rather than 30 minutes.
