Psychiatrists will determine whether a man in his sixties is fit to stand trial for the rape of a girl at a military rehabilitation centre.
George Wanless, 67, faces nine counts of indecent assault and one count of buggery.
The offences are said to have been committed against two victims – both girls under 16 – at the former RAF Headley Court facility near Epsom in the 1970s and 1980s.
Mr Wanless was due to be tried at Guildford Crown Court today (Tuesday, April 18), but it was postponed to allow the 67-year-old to undergo psychiatric evaluation.
Mr Wanless, of Belmont Avenue, Oldham, pleaded not guilty at the same court in August.
He will next appear at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, April 21.
