A 17-year-old boy from Wallington who was charged with the attempted murder of his mother after stabbing her multiple times has been given a hospital order.
A jury at Kingston Crown Court agreed he was not fit to enter a plea and he was given the order after the court heard psychiatric evidence.
The act took place in Barnes Close, Woking, on Friday, November 4 2016 at around breakfast time when the boy, then 16, stabbed his mother in her back, neck and shoulder.
At the time of the attack the 42-year-old victim managed to escape to a neighbours' and was brought to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
Her son was arrested at the scene when police were notified.
