A 68-year-old man has died in hospital four days after crashing his car into a tree.
Police, paramedics and fire crews attended the crash in Morland Road, Addiscombe, near Chaffinch Brook School, at 6.43am on Friday (March 24) and found the man injured and unconscious.
The driver was taken to a south London hospital in a critical condition, but died four days later (Tuesday, March 28).
He appeared to have suffered “some sort of attack” while driving, a Metropolitan Police spokesman advised.
His next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem is to be carried out while police enquiries continue.
