Three men have been charged after former Chelsea captain John Terry's home was burgled in Oxshott.

Roy Head, 28, from Walton, along with Darren Eastaugh, 29, and Oliver Hart, 24, from Bedfont were arrested on Thursday, March 9, in Walton by the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad.

The raiders were said to have escaped with valuables after forcing their way into the Chelsea player's property near Cobham on February 25.

The Sun reported that the break-in happened while Terry was on a skiing holiday with family.

The trio were also charged with six other residential burglaries in Leatherhead and Woking on March 9 and Ashford and Staines on February 28.

Further charges were also made in relation to two burglaries in Sussex, including one at an address in Chichester and Horsham on March 1.

The men were remanded in custody and appeared at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Saturday, March 11, and will appear at Kingston Crown Court on April 7.

Detective Constable Phil Carter said: “Surrey Police is committed to disrupting criminal activity and those who have a negative impact on the lives of Surrey’s residents.”

Anyone with information relating to the break-ins should call Surrey Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
