A road has been closed in Tooting Broadway after a crash was caused by ice forming from a burst water pipe.
It is believed a motorcyclist was involved in the crash this morning, January 22. Their condition is not yet known.
Residents in Mellison Road took to social media yesterday to complain to Thames Water about the burst pipe.
A spokeswoman for Thames Water said: "We're very sorry to hear about the incident in Mellison Road.
"The health and safety of our customers is our biggest concern, and we'll work closely with all teams to understand what happened."
She also confirmed that a Thames Water technician had visited Mellison Road yesterday, January 21, and identified the need for repair.
She added that gritting had taken place on Mellison Road overnight.
