The provider of Kingston’s mental health services has been rated ‘good’ by a regulator six months after being told it ‘requires improvement’ for safety breaches.
An inspection of South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust in September found that the service had “made improvements” in the way it managed patients’ medicines.
It was discovered in March that workers were not transporting medicines to people’s homes safely or keeping records of stock medicines.
Chief Executive David Bradley said: “This achievement has only been possible due to the hard work and dedication of all our staff.
“I am very proud of the professional and dedicated way in which they support our patients every single day.”
The trust provides mental health services to more than 1.1m people across south west London, including Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.
Tolworth Hospital, Springfield University Hospital, and Queen Mary's Hospital, in Roehampton, are all run by the trust.
