A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a Tube train at Tooting Broadway station.
Officers from British Transport Police were called to the station at 6.47pm yesterday to reports of a person having been struck by a train.
London Ambulance Service were also called and took the man to hospital, were he is being treated for serious injuries.
The disruption caused chaos for commuters as the Northern Line was suspended northbound between Morden and Kennington while emergency services attended.
It was later reopened with severe delays.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
