A date for the trial of two men accused of killing Kingston University student Hina Shamim in a horrific crash in Penrhyn Road has finally been set.
Farid Reza, 36, and William Spicer, 27, have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after Miss Shamim was killed as she went to hand in her final piece of coursework on March 31 last year.
The men were due to enter pleas at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, but the hearing has been put back a second time.
Despite the delay, a trial date has been set for Monday, January 9.
Mr Reza, of Surbiton Road, Kingston, and Mr Spicer, of Somervell Road, Harrow, are currently on bail.
Both had already appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday, July, 11 to enter pleas to the charges but that hearing was delayed until Wednesday.
Originally from Peterborough, Miss Shamim was in her final year as a sports science and nutrition student.
Friends and family described her as a “lovely person” who loved Kingston and “felt it was her home”.
