One of the candidates in the Tooting by-election in June and a fathers' rights activist from Leatherhead have been charged following a rooftop protest on Jeremy Corbyn’s house in Islington.
Bobby Smith, who stood for the Tooting parliamentary seat in the by-election after Sadiq Khan stood down earlier this year, and Martin Matthews from Middlemead Road, Bookham were both charged with aggravated trespass and deterring a person from engaging in lawful activity.
They will both appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 5.
