Residents in Wimbledon and Tooting still without running water this morning after a burst main caused havoc with the supply yesterday.

The burst water main in Kingston Road flooded large parts of Wimbledon and Tooting yesterday afternoon, with numerous residents reporting problems with their water supply.

Last night, Thames Water posted on social media that it had re-routed the water supply but that residents may still experience issues.

Posting on Twitter it said: “We've re-routed water from other parts of the network and majority of the affected areas should now be back in supply.

“Unfortunately due to the size of the area affected, some customers may still be experiencing low pressure.”
