One of the candidates in the Tooting by-election claims he was told to "piss off" when he popped in to see the Labour team in a party office.
Alan Howling Laud Hope, the Monster Raving Loony Party candidate, said he visited the Labour campaign office in Mitcham Road to say hello to the activists working there on Friday afternoon (June 10).
He claims he was told to "piss off" by one of the party members working from the office.
Mr Hope said: "I have run in 31 elections and this has never happened.
"If she wins [Rosena Allin-Khan, the Labour candidate], she will still be one of the MPs in the country I live in.
"This is the first time this has happened."
A spokesman for the Labour campaign in Tooting said: "He and another person entered our office uninvited, and were disrupting campaigning activity. One of our team may have been slightly over eager in asking them to leave."
The Tooting by-election takes place on June 16.
