A DOUBLE rainbow cast itself over Claygate last week, and one lucky resident managed to capture a fork of lightning under its arc.
Lindsay Marns, 50, says she went outside to take a snap of the double rainbow on her Nokia Lumia phone, but came back having captured a rare moment over the houses in Stockfield Road.
She said: “It was really bright and it just happened. It was really lucky. It was taken on my mobile so it wasn’t even on a proper camera.
"I’m not the most amazing photographer, the lightning strike is quite amazing really.
“We only had a couple of claps of thunder, the rain came down quite heavy, there weren’t many lightning strikes.”
