Superintendent Steve Wallace said there was a fight on Wednesday, March 16, but police were only told afterwards.
A weapons sweep was held yesterday on the estate, where a 17 year-old was stabbed in July last year.
Two knives were handed in by members of the public.
Supt Wallace said: “We don’t know if the knives recovered are linked to the fight, but we have a robust stance on knife crime and extra patrols will be in place.”
